Heather Nickels (Full)

Independent Curator

Heather Nickels is an American art historian and curator, currently living and working in Dublin. A recent transplant, she moved to Ireland in December after living in New York City, USA for the last five years. There, she attended university at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she studied art history, and spent a year after graduation working in a curatorial capacity at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). She has also worked for other arts institutions, like the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the New Museum of Contemporary Art, Andrea Rosen Gallery, Sperone Westwater Gallery and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. For the last two years, she has conducted research for an exhibition which will open at the Wallach Art Gallery at Columbia University this fall. She is thrilled to be living in a new city and is excited to meet art practitioners in Dublin over the next few months before moving to London, where she will be commencing her graduate studies this fall.
