Jennie Guy is a curator, artist and researcher based in Dublin. She is the founder and director of Art School, a project that focuses on establishing new interfaces between contemporary art and sites of education, and is invested in a longer-term enquiry into pedagogical shifts in education through the means of art. Art School takes place as a series of projects, exhibitions, workshop and residency programmes, bringing active contemporary artists and curators into educational systems to inspire and to expand, but also to fracture and to revise. Building on the wave of momentum that has been developed through Art School, Guy is curating the EVA 2018 schools programme and has recently been awarded Arts Council funding to produce a book that includes a series of essays written by leading Irish and international writers. Guy is also Manager of Programme and Operation of Fire Station Artists’ Studios in Dublin and is currently curating a series of public art commissions in Dublin and Wicklow. As curator in residence with Rua Red Arts Centre she will curate a two-person show with Sven Anderson and Mit Jai-Inn later this year.
