The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Ms Josepha Madigan TD, has announced that she will appoint the following persons as members of the Board of the National Gallery of Ireland:
John O’Doherty and Dan Flinter
John O’Doherty is the Managing Partner of KOD Lyons Solicitors and a member of the Criminal Law Committee of the Law society of Ireland.
Dan Flinter is Chairman of the PM Group and The Irish Times Group and has previously held the role CEO of Enterprise Ireland.
The appointments follow a public call for applications on www.stateboards.ie and an assessment process.
Commenting on the appointments Minister Madigan said:
“I am pleased to appoint both John O’Doherty and Dan Flinter to the Board of the National Gallery. I am confident that their ability and experience along with their keen interest in the world of art will enable them to make an important contribution at the Gallery. I wish both of them every success during their term and thank them for taking on these important roles.”
